Renewals will begin in April. Members will receive a notice by US
mail including a statement for dues and any unsatisfied work
assessment owed. The work log as of April 1 will be used to
determine credits. If additional hours are earned before renewing,
enter them in the notebook kept on the rear counter of the range
house, note them in your renewal, and reduce the assessment by $10
for each additional hour entered. If you have accumulated 8 hours,
you don't owe an assessment, but we don't give credit for extra
hours or allow you to bank them. We do greatly appreciate the extra
effort, however. The CSF membership year ends April 30 and the
deadline to renew is July 11. Late renewals will not be accepted and
it will be necessary to rejoin when the membership cap allows it.
Prompt renewals by mail are greatly appreciated to even out the
membership committee's workload.
- ** Work Credit Information
The accounting deadline for work hour credit is April 1st. When you
receive your renewal statement, your hours up to then will be
credited against the 8 hour requirement. You may continue to earn
credit up to the time you submit your renewal by logging additional
hours that you work in the notebook kept in the rear of the range
house. When you submit your renewal, make a note of the additional
hours, the task and date they were performed and credit them against
the unfulfilled balance at the rate of $10/hour.
You must
still pay the full amount of your dues, however, even if you
exceeded the 8 hour work requirement.
For proper credit, be sure to log your time under the name you use
for your CSF membership and write legibly. If you have guests or
family members helping, their time must also be entered under the
primary member's name for proper credit. (There are currently two
guests listed on the work log, but the hosting member is not
identified.)
Check the online work log just before you renew to be sure you time
has been entered correctly. If you have been serving on a CSF
committee or regular work crew and have not been logging your time,
you may be billed, but have the right to credit your time against
the assessment when you renew or to log it before April 1. The
online log is typically a few weeks behind due to the data entry
cycle, but will be brought up to date as of April 1 for the billing.
It may be viewed at
Online Work Log .
We are
currently well above the cap of 1000 non-Properties members and will
not be accepting new members until the count falls below 1000 due to
non-renewals. A procedure for prospective
new members to be placed on a waiting list has been developed.
·
The procedure for the waiting list will be to submit a
fully completed, legible
Membership Application. This shall
include a valid e-mail address, and NRA membership number, sent via
snail mail addressed to membership, c/o Cascade Shooting Facilities,
PO Box 310, Ravensdale, WA, 98051; or attached to e-mail sent to
membership@cascadeshootingfacilities.org.
·
Membership applications will be processed on a first
come, first served process based on receipt of e-mail and/or
postmark date.
·
Your application will be assigned a number in the
queue, and you will be advised of the receipt of the application,
and your position in the process via e-mail with no further
communication until an opening occurs. Do not attempt to contact
the Membership Chairman directly regarding your status or you will
be dropped from the list.
·
You will be notified of any openings only via e-mail
which will include your assigned orientation date & time.
·
You will be given the opportunity to decline the
assigned date/time only twice before being removed from the waiting
list.
·
Your membership fee and a newly completed Application
will be collected on the day of your orientation.
