There are special qualifications that members can qualify for to do certain activities on the range that members cannot normally do. This list includes, but is not limited to:
- Shooting at the 600 yard line on D-Range
- Shooting .223/5.56 and 7.62×39 in the large bay on E-Range
- Shooting at approved steel targets closer than 40 yards.
- Shooting longer range hunting pistols on the rifle ranges
To receive these special qualifications, there is a session you must attend at the outdoor range. Sessions are held at the discretion of the Executive Range Master, but are listed on the club’s calendar well in advance.
As part of receiving this special qualification, you will receive a laminated card per special qualification that must be worn along with, but not obstruct, your normal club membership badge.
This qualification does NOT extend to anyone but the member holding that qualification and wearing the card. For example, your buddy (even if he/she is a member as well) may not shoot steel targets at <40 yards just because you have that qualification and have the card.
