Who are your instructors?

We are passionate about teaching women to protect themselves and their loved ones, enabling them to embark on their next adventure with confidence and security. All four of us are NRA certified instructors. We’ve been teaching classroom and practical programs for over a decade. Curtis, the lead instructor, has been teaching firearm safety for ~15 years and is certified to teach pistol, personal protection in the home, and muzzleloading. He is also a certified range safety officer (RSO). The two female instructors both have degrees in psychology and will be sharing their experiences in situational awareness, de-escalating situations, and choosing if/when/where to carry. The final male instructor is exceptionally proficient in firearms safety and practical shooting exercises. We look forward to having you join us!

Course Specifics

The course runs from 9 am to 5 pm. We would love to have you join us as early as 8 am for espressos and lattes to fuel our chit-chat so you can get to know your soon-to-best friends! You’ll begin with instruction in a well-lit and comfortable classroom, with very clean restrooms. In the afternoon, we’ll move outdoors to the covered pistol shooting bay. You’ll begin shooting with .22 caliber pistols. These are super easy to handle and fire—and they help boost your confidence. If you’re comfortable doing so, you can shoot larger defensive rounds such as .38, 380, 9mm, and .45 caliber pistols. If the weather is cold, we’ll warm up between shooting with a portable heater.

We will provide coffee, water, snacks, as well as a hot and hearty Dutch Oven lunch-this is not to be missed!  We’ll provide handguns and ammunition will be provided. You are welcome to bring your own, but please, do not feel you have to purchase one for this program. We’ll also have hearing, and eye protection for you. Feel free to bring your own if you already have them.

At the end, you’ll receive a certificate of course completion.
